Design a conceptual project that creates an interactive card game helping children aged 9-12 build financial literacy through fun, hands-on play. The goal is to design a system that balances education and engagement, using game mechanics, visual storytelling, and optional digital tracking to teach money concepts in a way that feels natural, playful, and age appropriate.
Stack! is built on the concept of making finance fun and approachable for pre-teens, replacing abstract lessons with hands-on play. The fast-paced card game teaches kids ages 9–12 how to Earn, Save, Spend, andInvest through colorful, interactive cards that mirror real financial decisions. By turning money management into an engaging experience, Stack! helps kids build lasting financial skills while having fun.
The game uses a clear visual system with strong color-coding and distinctive iconography for the cards, complemented by app interface wireframes and a physical money tracking stand. Fun energy suitable for 9-12 year olds makes financial learning engaging through bold, playful visuals that communicate excitement, challenge, and quick decision-making. Multiple test rounds refined the gameplay mechanics, ensuring the game flips traditional financial education by making smart money management determine the winner rather than just playing all cards, connecting abstract financial concepts to tangible outcomes kids can see and feel during play.
